The Loureiro Engineering Associates / LEA-Cianci, Inc. building. About Us

History & Location Top

In January of 2000 LEA Environmental Services, Inc. merged with Cianci Construction Company to form  LEA-CIANCI Inc. (LCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. (LEA).  Prior to the merger Cianci Construction Company, which was formed in 1980, had established itself as a quality construction firm which specialized in civil and site engineering projects.   The merger with LEA Environmental Services, Inc. expanded the services that could be performed by the newly formed LCI to include environmental and remediation services.    LCI has grown substantially since the merger in 2000 and has completed several large construction and remediation projects.   Click here to review some of our profile projects.

Experience Top

As mentioned, LCI has over 20 years of experience in the construction and remediation business (combined LEA Environmental Services and Cianci Construction experience) and has completed numerous civil, site and remediation projects.  Our experience has included:

  • Installation of water mains, sewers and other site and municipal utilities

  • Excavation and installation of concrete foundations

  • Pump station installations

  • Road construction

  • Building demolition

  • Installation of groundwater extraction and treatment systems

  • Construction of building foundations

  • Landfill capping and remediation

Safety Top

LCI maintains and implements a comprehensive health and safety program.  All LCI employees attend regular safety training that covers topics such as personal protective equipment, hazard communication, fall protection, asbestos awareness, first aid and CPR, confined space entry, etc.  In addition, all LCI employees have completed 40 hour HAZWOPER training pursuant to the requirements of 29CFR 1910.120 for employees working on hazardous waste sites.

In addition to training that is required by regulation, LCI also offers informal health and safety training on a regular basis.  This includes weekly tool box meetings where site supervisors review issues such as ladder safety, unsafe acts, sensible safety attitudes, hand tool safety and hard hat awareness.

Fleet & Equipment Top

LCI owns a comprehensive inventory of construction equipment and vehicles, which allows us to quickly respond to our customers and their varying project needs.  In addition to the more standard construction equipment, LCI also operates a portable wastewater treatment system and two truck mounted Geoprobe rigs.    The portable wastewater treatment system can be used to treat contaminated groundwater during dewatering activities on spill response or remediation projects.  The Geoprobe rigs can be used in place of more traditional drilling equipment to conduct groundwater and soil investigation activates in a more expedient and cost effective manner.  Click here for a complete list of our equipment.
