History & Location

In
January of 2000 LEA Environmental Services, Inc. merged with
Cianci Construction Company to form LEA-CIANCI
Inc. (LCI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of
Loureiro
Engineering Associates, Inc. (LEA). Prior to the
merger Cianci Construction Company, which was formed in
1980, had established itself as a quality construction firm
which specialized in civil and site engineering projects.
The merger with LEA Environmental Services, Inc. expanded the
services that could be performed by the newly formed LCI to
include environmental and remediation services.
LCI has grown substantially since the merger in 2000 and has
completed several large construction and remediation projects.

LCI
maintains and implements a comprehensive health and safety program. All LCI employees attend regular safety
training that covers topics such as personal protective
equipment, hazard communication, fall protection, asbestos
awareness, first aid and CPR, confined space entry, etc.
In addition, all LCI employees have completed 40 hour HAZWOPER
training pursuant to the requirements of 29CFR 1910.120 for
employees working on hazardous waste sites.
In
addition to training that is required by regulation, LCI also
offers informal health and safety training on a regular basis.
This includes weekly tool box meetings where site supervisors
review issues such as ladder safety, unsafe acts, sensible
safety attitudes, hand tool safety and hard hat awareness.
Safety
is "Foremost in the minds of LCI supervisors and employees".
Fleet & Equipment

LCI
owns a comprehensive inventory of construction equipment and
vehicles, which allows us to quickly
respond to our customers and their varying project needs. In
addition to the more standard construction equipment, LCI also
operates a portable wastewater treatment system and two truck
mounted Geoprobe rigs. The portable
wastewater treatment system can be used to treat contaminated
groundwater during dewatering activities on spill response or
remediation projects. The Geoprobe rigs can be used in
place of more traditional drilling equipment to conduct
groundwater and soil investigation activates in a more
expedient and cost effective manner. Click here for a
